Mermaids Haven - private pool, bird estuary and pu

Unfortunately our experience was not the best. The house took forever to cool. I called management about it and the said”let me see if the owner wants to send someone out.” After waiting for a response for long time, I ended up putting the same issue in vrbo chat. They said they would get someone out. Needless to say, we ended up buy additional fans to be able to sleep the first night as the temperature would not get below 77 after 6 hours of being there. The house also had a very foul odor and was extremely dirty. There was lots of hair and food bits left on the sofa. One of the main reasons we booked this property was due to the volleyball court for our girls. Needless to say the photos do not match at all what is there. Someone would get really hurt using it as it hasn’t been maintained at all. The last issue was the bugs- they were everywhere. Upstairs, in the kitchen, and even in the beds. After how the AC issue was handled, we didn’t feel like trying to get the rest of the items addressed unfortunately.

We have stayed at this home multiple times over the years and it has been awesome! Its a great house in a great neighborhood with a great view!
