Team Y KNOT takes pride in the comfort of your stay by providing high quality customer service. Our privately owned homes are well stocked. However should you have a special request or need, feel free to reach out to us and we will do our best to accommodate your reasonable request. 
We ask that you report any dissatisfaction, challenges or accidents needed immediately. We put our best effort forward to ensure a carefree environment. However, at times, repairs are needed and we aim to have you remember how we remedied the situation verses what happened.

 Rental Policies

  • CHECK-IN TIME is 3 P.M. CST 
  • CHECK-OUT is 11 A.M. CST. 
    **NO Early Check-in or late checkout. Written approval required if either is needed. There is an additional
    hourly fee based on which home. 
  • This is a NON SMOKING unit. Smoking is permitted outside if butts are disposed of in a proper receptacle,
    NOT on premises or in canal. 
  • PETS- PETS are permitted in most rental homes only with prior approval. Fee based on breed and length
    of stay- $50.00 TO $150 per Pet Fee applies. All pets must be leashed at all times. Pet owners are responsible
    for cleaning up any/all pet refuse DAILY. Pets are not allowed on furniture at ANY time. Any evidence of pets
    on furniture, urination in home or any linen stained or damage to our walls doors or rugs or home may incur
    extra fees for to you. WE SUPPLY DOG TOWELS/RAGS FOR YOUR USE. All pets must be up-to-date on
    rabies vaccinations and all other vaccinations. Heartworm prevention is highly recommended. All pets are to
    be treated with Advantage or similar topical flea and tick repellent three (3) days prior to arrival. Fleas and
    ticks are very rampant in this area and can cause harmful/fatal illness to humans and pets. All items above
    are the sole responsibility of the pet owner.
  • The Homeowners assume NO responsibility for illness or injury that humans or pets may incur while on
    the premises. All homes are privately owned; the owners are NOT responsible for any accidents, injuries
    or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of
    personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are
    expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to
    use the premise.  
  • Property Damage Protection FEE– This is a $49 to $89(depending on which property is rented)
    nonrefundable fee that is included in your quote. This fee is NOT applied toward rent; however, it protects you
    and homeowner from the expense of unforeseen mishaps. This replaces the burden of a large security
    deposit. The following are a few common violations that apply.
    • No damage is done to unit or its contents, for instance breaking of dishes, glass ware, walls, any
      amenities- even kayaks, paddles, life jackets, fish poles/reels, windows, etc… beyond normal
      wear and tear. ****WE would rather you call and report if something does occur verses me
      discovering it after the fact.  
    • No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets or collection of rents or services rendered
      during the stay or over capacity of guests. 
    • All debris, rubbish and discards are BAGGED and are placed in exterior trash can, and soiled
      dishes are placed in the dishwasher and run to clean. 
    • All keys are NOT placed back in the lockbox and/or unit is left unlocked. This means all doors
      and windows & gates. ï lights, ceiling fans, TV’s and other electronic devices left on.
    • All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure.
    • No linens, towels, pillows and other amenities are lost or damaged.  
    • Furniture, games, videos, DVDs, books, etc and left in nice condition and are not lost or missing. 
  • NO Early check-in or Late check-out. This is a courtesy for yourselves as well as other guests that may be
    arriving after you. 
  • The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner), or the local law enforcement. 
  •  PETS: (if approved) refuge needs to be picked up daily, you must clean up -food, hair balls, vomit, or if per
    urinates in the home or we discover the pet has been on ANY furniture. 
  •  NO Smoking in home and butts are to be disposed of properly, not in yard or canal. **IF YOU CHOOSE TO
    DISREGARD THIS RULE, YOU WILL BE CHARGED A MINIMUM OF $500 AND UP TO $1500 TO
    DEODERIZE OUR HOME. NO EXCEPTIONS! 
  • PAYMENT – Payment in full before arrival is required. The advance payment will be applied toward the rent.
    Please make payments via SECURELY ONLINE W/CC, e-CHECK, OR, if prior arrangements were made,
    make your check or money order payable to Y KNOT GetawaY. The advance payment is not a damage deposit.
  • CANCELLATIONS- A sixty(60) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more
    than sixty(60) days prior to the arrival date will receive a 100% refund.
    • Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 60 days of the
      arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and reservation deposit. Cancellation or early
      departure does not warrant any refund of rent. If you should have a last minute cancellation,
      please phone our office immediately at 361-226-3100. You have the option to reschedule your
      trip at the same home with like rates. Please see below regarding trip insurance. OR you can
      have a credit on file to reserve a later date. If rates differ you will be responsible for remitting the
      difference if the rates are higher. If the rates are lower, a credit will remain on the books
      for another stay, no refund will be given. 
  • MONTHLY RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS – Monthly renters must cancel ninety (90) days
    prior to check-in. Monthly renters who make a change that result in a shortened stay must be
    made at least one hundred twenty (120) days prior to check-in. 
  • TRIP INSURANCE- Upon booking any of our homes through Homeaway.com, VRBO.com or
    Vacationrentals.com and many other platforms, you will be prompted to purchase trip insurance
    which protects your investment should there be a need to cancel. SEE BELOW FOR STORM POLICY. 

    ***If a tragedy or death should occur, Please call us immediately and your deposits will be subject to a
    100% refund at discretion of Y KNOT GetawaY Vacation Rentals.*** 
  • MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY – The maximum number of guests is limited to 2 - 16 persons depending on
    which home/cottage/condo is rented. An additional charge or $25.00 to $50 per person per night for
    additional guests above the allotted occupancy set for rate of said home. 
  • MINIMUM STAY– Most homes/condos/cottages require a two (2) night minimum stay. However, please
    inquire for 1 night stays as some of our properties are available for one night stays. Longer minimum
    stays may be required during holiday periods. If a rental is taken for less than two days, the guest will
    be charged accordingly, if applicable.
  • RATES include a one-time linen & towel setup. Amenity fees are included in the rental rate. NO DAILY
    HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE – While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service
    is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit bath towels or linens to be taken from the units, but we
    provide extra beach towels for your use and are to be returned prior to check-out. PLEASE SHAKE ALL
    SAND OUTSIDE OF HOME PRIOR TO TAKING INTO HOME AND WASHING TOWELS.
    ***Housekeeping services can be provided upon request at your expense. 
  • RATE CHANGES – Rates subject to change without notice. Of course, not once a reservation is confirmed. 
  • FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS – Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture
    of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check in. 
  • WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS – Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in
    advance by Malynda A Williams of Y KNOT GetawaY, LLC.
  • WATER AND SEPTIC – In most cases, homes are on a septic system. The septic system is very effective;
    however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper
    and human waste. No feminine products should be flushed at any time. If it is found that feminine products,
    or other than recommended products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you could be charged
    damages of Five hundred dollars ($500) or more for repair. 
  • STORM POLICY– HURRICANE OR STORM POLICY– No refunds will be given unless: 
    • The state or local authorities order mandatory evacuations in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning
      area" and/or 
    • A "mandatory evacuation order has been given for the Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning" area of
      residence of a vacationing guest. 
    • The day that the authorities order a mandatory evacuation order in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning," 
      area, we will refund: 
    • Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten the stay,
      to come in after the Hurricane Warning is lifted; and 
    • Any advance rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the
      "Hurricane Warning" period. 
    • TRAVEL INSURANCE– We highly recommend all guests purchase travel insurance. If you wish to
      purchase travel insurance, go to www.InsureMyTrip.com for details and to purchase. 
  •  WASHER/DRYER - Washer & Dryer are provided for your convenience. Detergent is also provided. Please
    operate full loads to help be mindful of conservation. NO dying of clothes, etc… in washer allowed.PLEASE
    SHAKE OUT ALL SAND AND DIRT, ETC… OUTSIDE PRIOR TO WASHING.However, some Condos are coin
    operated community laundry house. And we will provide laundry soap for your stay. 
  • REPAIRS – Unforeseen & unavoidable repairs may become necessary at any given home. We vow to relocate
    you
    to a like or upgraded home at no additional cost to you. OR provide a 100% refund and apology for this
    inconvenience if unable to resolve.
  • KAYAK/WATER TOYS– (available at some homes) Kayak and paddle, water toys are on premise for your enjoyment
    with
    select homes. Please comply with the safety rules and use at your own risk. 
  • All of the homes/cottages/condos are privately owned; the owners are NOT responsible for any accidents, injuries or 
    illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal 
    belongings or valuables of the guest. 
  • By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from
    their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. 
  • I agree that all rental monies are non-refundableper cancellation policy above. I have read my rights to purchase
    travel insurance.
